It was sometime around October 1979, I just moved down to Ft Lauderdale Fla and was planing a new life - fresh start since I had just seperated from my wife of 11 months.. just planning to kick back and eventually start back up playing music with someone. My last band "BULLET" had just played at the "CANDY STORE" right on Ft Lauderdale Beach a few months earlier so I went there and some of the guys there remembered me. The manager introduced me to a bass player named Bob Bobbing who was just starting to put a band together. We chatted about this and that and he said they had the makings of a band but wasn't planning to have a guitar player but thought I should come by the next rehearsal and see what turns out. Well I did and got to meet the band  learned a few songs and everyone was happy about my playing so they asked me to join them. We called ourselves "PRIMO"....

After a few rehearsals we had enough material to play out so Bob Bobbing  had a private party for some local Ford Dealer exec's at their home. A pool pary I believe so all went well and we got through our 1st gig. Bob had lot's of South Fla connections so he had another job in Miami at a local club but we had to work in a female singer for an upcoming job in San Jose, Costa Rica. They were hot on the Miami "Disco" scene and wanted lots of it. Bobs wife Delores was a good singer and played a few jobs with us. The "ROOFTOP LOUNGE" in Ft Lauderdale was one hot spot we played with Delores but she didn't want to go to The Costa Rica job probobly due to the fact that she was raising their little girl Heather. So Danny our singer had a girl lined up to sing 2 or 3 songs with us. Her name was "Maggie". We got the gig and headed down from Miami Airport to San Jose, Cost Rica Xmas week. We were hired by a wealthy man that owned a Department Store. We played their Xmas party  and Then a big New Years Bash and even went on a local TV show to promote the New Years gig.    more to come........
